On September 6, 2023, 19-year-old Amire Allen-Vincent was fatally shot on Detroit's east side. Family and friends held a vigil on Joseph Campau, the location of the incident, to honor his memory. Amire was the youngest of nine siblings and a father to a baby girl named Aubrei. His twin sister, Asia, expressed the family's grief, noting that Amire had recently mentioned plans to visit his child's mother.
