On September 24, 2023, 36-year-old Shevell Cordell Shelton was found deceased in his apartment at the Falcon Woods complex in Holland Township, Michigan. Responding to reports of gunfire around 9 p.m., Ottawa County Sheriff's deputies discovered Shelton's body inside his residence. An autopsy later confirmed that he had died from a gunshot wound, and his death was ruled a homicide.
