On May 17, 2024, around noon, 18-year-old William Shelton of Detroit was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting. The incident occurred in the area of Whittier Street and Roxbury Street in Detroit. Shelton was walking eastbound on Whittier when he was shot multiple times from a moving vehicle. Officers responding to the scene found Shelton with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
