A Black/African American male, Brandon was remembered for his kind and leading spirit. He was a student at Beecher High School and a member of the Boys & Girls Club, where his infectious smile and willingness to help left a lasting impression on those he encountered.
On the evening of Tuesday, June 11, 2024, on Flint's north side, Brandon
was shot. The incident led to his hospitalization at Hurley Medical Center, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries. His death sent ripples of concern and grief through a community already grappling with the impact of violence on its young people.
In the wake of his death, Brandon's family and friends mourned the loss of a young man described as a beloved brother and friend. A funeral service was held on June 22, 2024, at Kingdom of Heaven Ministries, with his final resting place at Sunset Hills Cemetery. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death was ongoing. As of early August 2024, authorities had not publicly identified any suspects, and no arrests had been confirmed in connection with the shooting.
