In the quiet neighborhood of Temple Hills, Maryland, the evening of January 13, 2023, took a tragic turn. On that Friday night, 34-year-old Stephen Lee Green of Sykesville was going about his work as a grocery delivery driver. After completing a delivery on Afton Street, his life was abruptly cut short. At approximately 11:15 p.m., officers were called to the 2200 block of the street for a report of a shooting.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement found Mr. Green inside his SUV, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The preliminary investigation revealed that the fatal shots were fired just after he had made a grocery delivery to a home in the area.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation by detectives from the Homicide Unit.
As of now, the individual or individuals responsible for Stephen Lee Green's death have not been identified, and no arrests have been made. The Prince George's County Police Department is actively investigating the case and is seeking help from the public to bring those responsible to justice. A reward of up to $25,000 has been offered for any information that leads to an arrest and indictment in connection with this homicide.
