In the quiet evening of November 8, 2023, the life of 24-year-old Anthony Day Roberts, a male resident of Camp Springs, Maryland, was tragically cut short. Just after a simple trip to a local 7-Eleven for snacks with his best friend, Roberts was gunned down in what authorities have described as an attempted robbery. The incident unfolded around 9:40 p.m. in the 6300 block of Auth Road, a residential area that was soon to become a scene of violence.
