On the night of March 3, 2023, the life of 28-year-old Raymond Khalil Jones of Temple Hills, Maryland, was tragically cut short. In the mixed commercial and residential area of the 4600 block of Dallas Place, gunshots shattered the evening's quiet at approximately 9:50 p.m. When police officers arrived at the scene in the Temple Hills/Marlow Heights area, they discovered Jones outside, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite any efforts to help him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Prince George's County Police Department's Homicide Unit is actively investigating the fatal shooting. Investigators are working to determine a motive and to identify the person or persons responsible for Mr. Jones's death.
As of the immediate aftermath of the incident, no suspects had been publicly identified, and no arrests had been made.
