On a Wednesday morning, the quiet of a Brentwood neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Responding to a report of a shooting in the 4000 block of 38th Street, Brentwood and Prince George's County police officers discovered a man lying outside with gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as 58-year-old Victor Guardado of Colmar Manor. He was pronounced dead at the scene on September 6, 2023.
