On an autumn day in 2007, the life of 26-year-old Bernard Randolph Brooks Jr., a resident of Brentwood, Maryland, was tragically cut short. On Sunday, October 7, 2007, Brooks was killed in a shooting. Another man, Demetrius Dontae Kosh, also lost his life in what appears to have been a double homicide on the same day.
