On October 6, 2023, 18-year-old Kenyon Valentine from Alexandria, Virginia, was fatally shot near Oxon Hill High School in Prince George's County, Maryland. The incident occurred around 5:45 PM in the 6800 block of Haven Avenue, approximately 90 minutes before a scheduled football game.
