On the evening of January 27, 2016, Derrick Jermaine McCray, a 41-year-old male, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 5600 block of St. Barnabas Road in Oxon Hill, Maryland. First responders arrived at the scene around 6:20 p.m. and transported him to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries several hours later. At the time of his death, McCray was described as having no fixed address.
