On May 11, 2024, at approximately 4:50 a.m., 37-year-old Daniel Antonio Thomas of Washington, D.C., was fatally shot in the parking garage of the MGM National Harbor Hotel and Casino in Oxon Hill, Maryland. Upon arrival, officers from the Prince George's County Police Department found Thomas suffering from gunshot wounds and attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
