On March 5, 2024, at approximately 6:25 p.m., Prince George's County Police officers responded to a reported shooting in the 300 block of Cedarleaf Avenue in Capitol Heights, Maryland. Upon arrival, they discovered 41-year-old Airmus Dillard suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Dillard was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries several hours later.
