On April 11, 2024, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Prince George's County Police officers responded to reports of a shooting near Neptune Avenue and Audrey Lane in Oxon Hill, Maryland. Upon arrival, they discovered 19-year-old Tyrone Avent, a local resident, suffering from a gunshot wound. Tragically, Avent was pronounced dead at the scene.
