On December 17, 2024, at approximately 5:50 p.m., a tragic double homicide occurred in the 100 block of Seneca Drive in Forest Heights, Maryland. Officers from the Forest Heights Police Department responded to reports of a shooting and discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save them, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased were identified as 24-year-old Brian Freeman of Forest Heights and 21-year-old Sakou Mathis of Washington, D.C.
