On a Friday night in Oxon Hill, Maryland, a violent encounter in an apartment on Southern Avenue resulted in the deaths of three individuals. Among the victims was 45-year-old James Gibson. The incident, which unfolded in the 1400 block of the street, prompted a swift response from Prince George's County Police Department.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered the bodies of Mr. Gibson, along with 40-year-old Lakeysha Walters and her 25-year-old daughter, Shaneka Walters.
All three had been shot and were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators quickly began piecing together the events that led to the triple homicide.
The investigation led to the arrest of Clifford John Browne, Jr., a 34-year-old man from Capitol Heights. Authorities charged Browne with the murders of James Gibson, Lakeysha Walters, and Shaneka Walters. Preliminary findings from the police suggested that the killings were the result of a domestic dispute.
