Kennard Murray, a 23-year-old Black male, was discovered inside a vehicle in the 4900 block of Palmer Avenue, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound to his neck. The call reporting the shooting came in at approximately 9:56 p.m., prompting a swift response from the Baltimore Police Department.
Upon their arrival, officers found Mr.
Murray unresponsive. They immediately began to perform CPR in a desperate attempt to save his life. Medics soon took over the life-saving measures, but despite their efforts, Kennard Murray was pronounced deceased at the scene. The initial investigation pointed to a grim reality: he had been the victim of a homicide. The location where he was found inside the car was also noted as being on the 3100 block of Oakley Avenue.
