Ray Moore, a 22-year-old man, tragically lost his life on March 10, 1944, as a result of a brutal beating. His death was part of a series of violent killings carried out by Luther McClam, a serial killer active in the 1940s. McClam, who was eventually identified and convicted, was responsible for multiple murders, including those of Ray Moore, Thomas Tate and Fred Moore all of whom were killed on the same day through similar means.
