On June 18, 2024, at approximately 9:40 p.m., Prince George's County Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 5600 block of Regency Park Court in Suitland, Maryland. Upon arrival, they discovered 24-year-old Sean Bethea of Washington, D.C., suffering from gunshot wounds. Bethea was pronounced dead at the scene.
