On a Tuesday evening in June, the sense of security in a Suitland, Maryland neighborhood was shattered by gunfire. On June 18, 2024, at approximately 9:40 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the 5600 block of Regency Park Court. Upon arrival, they discovered a young man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as 24-year-old Sean Bethea, a male resident of Washington, D.C. Despite the efforts of first responders, Mr. Bethea was pronounced dead at the scene.
