On a tragic new year's weekend, the life of 37-year-old Iaisha Theresa James, a mother of six, was cut short in an act of domestic violence in her Chesapeake, Virginia home. In the early hours of January 2, 2021, a violent altercation ended with Ms. James being fatally shot. Her adult daughter was also wounded in the attack but survived her injuries.
