Iaisha Theresa James, aged 37, tragically lost her life on January 2, 2021, in Chesapeake, Virginia. The incident occurred in her home on Lafayette Avenue, where she was fatally shot. The Chesapeake Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 12:43 a.m. Upon arrival, officers heard gunshots from inside the residence. Iaisha was pronounced dead at the scene, and her adult daughter, who was also injured in the shooting, was transported to a hospital for treatment.
