In the evening hours of September 19, 2024, violence erupted in the Eastern District of Baltimore, claiming the life of Errique Jubar Neal Sr., a 26-year-old Black male. The incident unfolded at approximately 8:21 p.m. when the city's ShotSpotter system detected gunfire in the 1100 block of East 20th Street. Responding officers arrived to find evidence of a shooting, but no victims were present at the scene.
