On a Tuesday morning in Landover, Maryland, 18-year-old Kesean Pollard was found shot to death inside a vehicle. The grim discovery was made on October 22, 2024, after police responded to a report of a shooting in the 7400 block of Landover Road around 9:25 a.m. and located the young man a short distance away in the 7100 block of Old Landover Road.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives with the Prince George's County Police Department are actively investigating the case. While a motive for the shooting remains under investigation, authorities have stated that they do not believe the incident was a random act of violence. The investigation is ongoing as detectives work to identify the suspect or suspects involved in Pollard's death.
According to the initial investigation, police are searching for multiple suspects who reportedly opened fire before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. At this time, no detailed descriptions of the suspects or their vehicle have been released to the public. The Prince George's County Police Department has offered a reward of up to $25,000 for any information that leads to an arrest and indictment in connection with the fatal shooting.
