On a Tuesday night in the fall of 2024, the life of 23-year-old Adam Hashim was tragically cut short. On October 29th, in an apartment building in Hyattsville, Maryland, gunshots rang out, leaving the young man with fatal wounds. When officers from the Prince George's County Police Department arrived at the 7000 block of Highview Terrace around 11:00 p.m., they discovered Hashim's body.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The initial investigation by homicide detectives suggested that the shooting was not a random act of violence. While a motive has not been publicly disclosed, authorities are actively working to understand the circumstances that led to Hashim's death. The case remains an open and ongoing homicide investigation.
In an effort to bring justice for Adam Hashim and his loved ones, the Prince George's County Police Department has offered a reward of up to $25,000 for any information that leads to an arrest and indictment of a suspect or suspects. To date, no arrests have been made, and no suspects have been publicly identified in connection with the shooting. Detectives continue to seek information from the community to help solve this case.
