In the early hours of New Year's Day 2023, a celebration turned to tragedy inside a Racine, Wisconsin bar, ending the life of 56-year-old Billy Petty, a Black male. The incident, which unfolded at Rerun's Lounge, also resulted in the death of the bar's owner, 66-year-old Avery "Rerun" Stewart.
