The incident occurred at a residence located near the intersection of Yout and Green Street at approximately 8:40 p.m. When Racine police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Miller with a fatal gunshot wound.

According to some reports, the individual responsible claimed that the shooting was accidental, alleging that he and Miller were friends and that the gun discharged while they were playing with the loaded revolver. In connection with the death of Romelle Miller, authorities took a 21-year-old man into custody.
