On the evening of June 18, 2025, Brian Egerson, a 36-year-old Black male from Racine, Wisconsin, was fatally shot following an argument. The incident occurred near the intersection of Marquette Street and Albert Street. Responding to a call about shots fired around 10:19 p.m., Racine police officers discovered Egerson on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his chest. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
