In the early morning hours of June 2, 2023, the life of 38-year-old Shawnte Hudson, a Black/African American male from Racine, Wisconsin, was tragically cut short. Hudson was fatally shot near the intersection of 6th and Jones Streets in what authorities have described as a homicide. When police responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 1:12 a.m., they discovered Hudson, who had succumbed to an apparent gunshot wound.
