On July 31, 2023, 34-year-old Wesley Ward Jr., a father of three, was fatally shot near the intersection of North 32nd Street and West Hampton Avenue in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The incident occurred around 8:45 a.m., when police responded to reports of a shooting and found Ward with fatal gunshot injuries inside a blue coupe displaying bullet holes through the windows. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
