In the early morning hours of July 31, 2023, Wesley Ward Jr., a 34-year-old Black man, was fatally shot in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The incident occurred around 8:45 a.m. near the intersection of North 32nd Street and West Hampton Avenue. Milwaukee police responded to reports of a shooting and discovered Ward inside a blue coupe with gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving measures, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
