On December 10, 2023, at approximately 10:49 PM, Terry Jackson, a 34-year-old man from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was fatally shot while driving southbound on Interstate 35 near SE 59th Street. The incident, which became Oklahoma City's 72nd homicide of 2023, occurred when Jackson's vehicle was targeted in what police described as a "car-to-car type shooting".
