On May 18, 2024, 19-year-old Elmer Salazar Rojas was shot and killed in the parking lot of El Muchacho Alegre, a seafood restaurant located in the 100 block of Airport Way in Renton, Washington. The incident occurred just before 10 p.m. when Renton police officers responded to reports of a shooting.
