In the late morning of June 3, 2024, the life of 18-year-old Cristopher Medina Zelaya, a Black/African American male, was cut short in a parking lot that should have been a place of routine comings and goings. A student at Kent-Meridian High School, he was discovered unconscious at Campus Park, mere minutes from the school grounds.
