On July 15, 2023, Jeffery Ray Winn, a 43-year-old man from Seattle, was fatally shot at the Kent Phoenix Court Apartments in Kent, Washington. The incident occurred around 8:14 p.m. when officers responded to reports of a shooting outside the apartment complex. Winn was found lying in the parking lot and was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he later died from his injuries.
