On the night of March 2, 2023, 26-year-old Devonte' Leshore Jacocks Sr. was fatally shot inside the M&S Drive-Thru on Springmill Street in Mansfield, Ohio. The assailant, described as a masked individual dressed in black, entered the establishment and opened fire, resulting in Jacocks' death and injuries to two others—a 26-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman. Both injured individuals were transported to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital for treatment.
