Kody Zawalski, a 20-year-old resident of Lakeland, Florida, tragically lost his life on January 11, 2015, as a result of injuries sustained during a violent home invasion. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Kody moved to Florida as a child and eventually settled in Lakeland with his family. He was known for his active participation in the ROTC program at Lake Gibson High School and had a passion for music, racing, movies, and the beach. At the time of his death, Kody was employed at C & S Wholesalers.
