Khaalil Hasir Rajlik Petty, a 15-year-old African American male from Mansfield, Ohio, tragically lost his life on April 15, 2022. Khaalil was a student at Mansfield Senior High and an active member of the JV Basketball Team and AAU Basketball. He was known for his bright smile and love for his family, especially his mother Chiquita Toddie and sister Teonta.
Khaalil enjoyed playing basketball, making music, and spending time with friends.
On the day of his death, Khaalil was shot multiple times in the upper body in the 700 block of King Street in Mansfield. He was taken to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries later that afternoon. The Richland County Coroner's Office conducted an autopsy, and the case was taken over by the Mansfield Police Department's Major Crimes Unit.
The investigation revealed that Khaalil's death was the result of a shooting following an argument with 19-year-old Jayjahnae Feagin. Feagin turned herself in to the police two days after the incident and was charged with murder. She was arraigned in Mansfield Municipal Court, where a $1 million cash bond and personal recognizance bond were set. Feagin is currently incarcerated at the Richland County Jail.
