On April 20, 2023, Saiesh Veera, a 24-year-old gas station employee from Columbus, Ohio, was tragically shot and killed during an attempted robbery at a Shell gas station located on West Broad Street. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, and upon arrival, police found Veera suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to revive him, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooting shocked the local community and raised concerns about safety in the area.
