On August 31, 2017, Theodore Stokes Jr., a 20-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was shot and killed in a tragic incident that also injured another individual. The shooting occurred in the early afternoon, around 1:50 PM, at the corner of Traymore Place and Republic Avenue in Columbus. Columbus Police officers responded to a report of gunshots and found Theodore Stokes and another victim, Daryll Gavin, lying on a front porch suffering from gunshot wounds.
