On December 23, 2023, Abdus Turner, a 23-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was fatally shot during an incident at the Double Take Bar located in the German Village area. The shooting occurred around 6:12 PM, prompting immediate responses from local law enforcement and emergency medical services. Upon arrival, officers found Turner suffering from a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly thereafter.
