On August 5, 2023, Chrishon Fisher, a 21-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was shot and killed in a violent incident that occurred in the early hours of the morning. On September 27, 2023, authorities arrested 18-year-old Charles Fleming, who was charged with murder in connection with Fisher's death.
