On November 16, 2023, 63-year-old Terrance "Terry" Mathis Sr. was fatally shot at the Mentor Green Mobile Estates in Mentor, Ohio. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. when Jason Norris, a 47-year-old resident facing eviction, opened fire within the mobile home park. Norris first shot property manager Laura Colon, 62, who was found deceased on a roadway.
