On December 9, 2023, at approximately 12:30 p.m., 22-year-old Hosea S. Hodges was fatally shot in the 1900 block of East Midlothian Boulevard on Youngstown's South Side. Responding officers administered life-saving measures before Hodges was transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
