On February 5, 2024, at approximately 1:15 a.m., Columbus police officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 100 block of West Cherry Street, near the entrance of Noir Lounge, a downtown nightclub. Upon arrival, officers discovered two men, 25-year-old Nigel L. Jackson Jr. and 24-year-old Percell E. Scott III, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical assistance, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene by medics at 1:25 a.m.
In the days following the incident, the Columbus Division of Police released images of two vehicles—a mid-size white sedan and a small SUV—that were observed leaving the vicinity of Noir Lounge shortly after the shooting. Authorities sought public assistance in identifying the owners of these vehicles, believing they might have information pertinent to the investigation.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and the identities of any potential suspects have not been disclosed.
