On August 10, 2017, Deshawn Marable, age 27, was fatally shot in Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred around 9:05 p.m. near the intersection of East Columbus Street and Oakwood Avenue. Columbus police were called to respond to reports of a shooting, and upon arrival, they found Deshawn Marable behind a home in the 900 block of South Champion Avenue. He was transported to Grant Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 9:28 p.m.
