On February 28, 2024, Shandar Weaver, a 28-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was fatally shot while driving, leading to a crash into a building at the intersection of South James Road and East Main Street. The incident occurred around 1:11 a.m., when police discovered Weaver inside his vehicle with a gunshot wound. He was promptly transported to Grant Medical Center but succumbed to his injuries shortly after, at approximately 2:43 a.m.
