On May 10, 2024, Daron Aunshai Davis Sr., a 27-year-old resident of Canton, Ohio, was fatally shot inside a Regal Cinemas theater in Massillon. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. as Davis was leaving the theater. Witnesses reported a chaotic scene as the shooting unfolded, with approximately 75 to 100 people present in the building at the time.
