On March 9, 1997, Stephen M. Larkin, a 30-year-old resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, was fatally shot at 3068 Gilbert Avenue. Earlier that morning, around 5:00 a.m., Larkin had experienced car trouble near Reading Road and South Crescent Avenue, where he and a companion were reportedly assisted by a police officer.
