On January 1, 2024, 27-year-old Curtis James Long of Cincinnati, Ohio, was fatally shot in Mt. Healthy. The incident occurred around 6:08 p.m. in the 7600 block of Hamilton Avenue. Despite sustaining multiple gunshot wounds, Long managed to drive himself to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
