Cierra Webb, a 25-year-old woman from Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, was tragically killed on November 13, 2022, during a large bonfire party at the Double D Ranch in Enfield, North Carolina. The party, which had hundreds of attendees, turned violent when an argument between a group of women escalated, leading to multiple shots being fired. Webb was among the seven people injured or killed in the incident. The Halifax County Sheriff's Office responded to the shooting around 1:30 a.m.
and found Webb deceased at the scene.
The investigation into Webb's death revealed that the party had multiple security checkpoints to prevent weapons from being brought in, but despite these measures, 27 guns were found hidden in various places, such as coolers, boots, and hats. The sheriff's office has continuously pleaded for help from partygoers to share videos and other information that could assist in identifying the individuals responsible for the shooting. A reward of up to $16,000 was offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Webb's murder.
In addition to Webb, a 16-year-old and several other individuals were injured in the shooting. The Halifax County Sheriff's Office has been actively seeking information from the public to bring those responsible to justice. Governor Roy Cooper announced that the state is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Webb's murder. The investigation remains ongoing, and the Webb family continues to seek closure for the tragic loss of their loved one.
