On May 26, 2024, Tavon Thompson, a 28-year-old resident of Cleveland, Ohio, was fatally shot in a violent incident outside the Medusa Nightclub located on St. Clair Avenue. The shooting occurred early in the morning and was part of a larger outbreak of gun violence that left multiple individuals injured. Thompson was one of two men who lost their lives in this tragic event; the other victim was identified as 24-year-old Deandre Smith.
