Sherrell Mattis, a 27-year-old male from Cleveland, OH, tragically lost his life on January 9, 2019. The incident occurred at a gas station in Cleveland's Glenville neighborhood. Mattis was involved in an altercation with Eric Yates, a 36-year-old man, in the parking lot of the gas station. After a brief argument, Yates left the scene but returned a few minutes later and fired multiple shots at Mattis and his 14-year-old cousin.
